Transfer Status Feature

Working with your transfers inside MyRapidi can sometimes get overwhelming when you have many different transfers on different stages - meaning that you might have transfers that are running live, some you still have in test, others that you still are working on or some that you don't use anymore.

To provide you with a better overview of the different transfers we are happy to introduce to you the "Transfer Status" feature which allows you to work even more efficiently with the transfers.

Character Sets and Conversion with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and MS SQL (3.2.92v)

Posted by Michael Bock on Thu, Jun 16, 2016

Handling conversion of characters between different systems using different character sets is always very challenging. If all systems could just work natively with e.g. UTF8 then it would be much easier. But until that is the case, we (as a provider of data integration solutions) have to do our best to handle these things with as little impact for our end users as possible.

Therefore its a pleasure for me to introduce you to a new way of handling the character conversion between systems that support UTF8 (like Salesforce.com) and systems using a MS SQL Database (like Microsoft Dynamics NAV, GP, AX).

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Web Service Updates (3.2.93a)

Posted by Michael Bock on Tue, Jun 14, 2016

I am happy to announce a major update to our support for Microsoft Dynamics AX web services. This mainly covers Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R1, R2 and R3 (but also some changes for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009).

Throughout the last 6-8 months we have worked intensly on our support for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 focusing in particular on our support for the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 web services. We are comitted to support all versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX and hence it is natural for us to continue to invest in improving our support for these systems. The update consists of a number of changes that have been introduced over time and the overall outcome is that it is now a lot easier and faster to implement an integration with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.

Please read on to have a complete overview of the changes:

Support for 'SkipField' Function with Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web Service Connector (3.2.92u)

Posted by Michael Bock on Thu, Jun 09, 2016

Back last sommer we introduced a new function called 'SkipField'. The function can be used as part of the mapping and will cause that Rapidi dynamically can skip sending a specific field (for a specific record) to the destination system. This is very useful

  • if either you want to preserve the value already set in the destination (or let the destination create a default value by itself) or
  • if a value is not accepted (even if blank) by the destination for this field (typically depending on some other fields value).

One such case is when you want to create a text or comment line on a SalesOrder in Microsoft Dynamics NAV using the Microsoft Dynamics NAV SalesOrder web service (standard Microsoft Dynamics NAV SalesOrder Card Page exposed as a SOAP web service).
