Use case

Move Data Between CRM and ERP Systems Without Losing Records

Switching systems is hard. Losing data during the switch is worse. Rapidi moves your data from one system to another with the relationships between records, the custom fields and the history intact. Upgrading from NAV to Business Central, leaving Salesforce, or consolidating several systems: the heavy lifting is ours.

Leaving Salesforce

Companies leave Salesforce for cost, for complexity, or because another platform fits better. The hard part is not cancelling the contract, it is getting the data out cleanly.

Rapidi extracts the data and loads it into the new system with the relationships intact. Accounts still link to their contacts. Opportunities still connect to their accounts. Custom fields come with them.

What comes out

Standard objects: accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, cases and activities. Custom objects and custom fields. Record relationships and lookups. Notes, attachments and files. Historical data, including closed deals and old activity.

Where it can go

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, HubSpot CRM, and other CRM systems through the connector library.

Upgrading from Dynamics NAV to Business Central

Microsoft presents the NAV to Business Central move as simple. It is not always. Older NAV versions, 2009, 2013 and 2015, take more work than recent ones. Customisations have to be rebuilt as extensions, and your integrations with other systems have to be reconnected.

Rapidi has helped companies upgrade from NAV since working on the original Navision team in 1994, which is how we know where the problems hide.

What changes

Licensing moves from concurrent users to named users. You choose on-premises or cloud, and cloud is simpler for a smaller team. Customisations become extensions. Existing integrations need remapping.

What we do about it

Migrate the data without manual re-entry, reconnect the integrations you already run, map the old customisations to Business Central functionality or extensions, and check data integrity before and after.

How a migration runs

  1. Discovery call, 30 minutes. We look at your current systems, the data volume and the timeline, and you get a rough estimate of effort and cost.
  2. Data assessment, one to three days. We connect to the source system and read your data model, identifying custom objects, field mappings and anything likely to bite.
  3. Mapping and transformation rules, two to three weeks. Which objects move, how the fields translate, and what happens to records that do not match cleanly.
  4. Test migration. A sample of your data lands in the target system and you review it.
  5. Full migration. Scheduled for a quiet window. Most run over a weekend.
  6. Validation. Integrity checks, then your final review before go-live.

Typical timeline: two to four weeks from kickoff to completion, depending on volume and complexity.

Why companies choose Rapidi for it

The relationships survive

Export and import breaks the links between records: a contact loses its account, an opportunity loses its history. Rapidi keeps them.

No programming

Visual mapping, so you can see which field goes where and change it without writing code.

Weeks, not quarters

Most migrations finish in two to four weeks, without months of planning or an open-ended consulting phase.

People who have done it before

Thousands of migrations since 1987, which is what makes the unexpected ones fixable.

Your integrations keep running

If you already use Rapidi, migration and integration work together. If you do not, the migration setup becomes the foundation for the ongoing sync.

The business keeps running

We migrate in low-activity windows and run systems in parallel during testing, so there is no downtime surprise.

Is this the right fit?

Worth saying plainly, because a migration that should not have been bought is expensive for both of us.

A good fit

  • You are moving between systems we support: Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, NetSuite and more than 100 others.
  • You have custom fields or objects that have to move with the standard data.
  • You want to keep the historical records rather than start fresh.
  • You need it done in weeks rather than months.
  • You do not have a dedicated integration developer on staff.

Probably not a fit

  • You only need to move a few hundred records, in which case a CSV export is probably enough.
  • You are consolidating systems whose data models have nothing in common. We can help, but it takes longer.

In their own words

What a customer says

“We have worked with Rapidi for more than 10 years. They connected our Salesforce to NAV 2018, and when we migrated to 365 Business Central, I did not have to worry about the integration. Rapidi handled it.”
